Weather Update (Sept 15): Tropical Cyclone sighted Off North Luzon

As of today, an active low-pressure area (ALPA) was sighted off the northern coast of Luzon which threatens to affect the northern parts of the country.

PAG-ASA forecaster Elvie Enriquez further commented earlier today that the ALPA will have a high chance to develop into a cyclone within the day. The weather agency further adds that as the weather disturbance will be codenamed: "Inday".

As of 2am today, the ALPA has been reported about 650 kilometers east of Northern Luzon and is moving in a North Western direction. The ALPA embedded along the Inter-tropical convergent zone is expected to affect southern Luzon along with the rest of the country.
